Mighty green juice

Super nutritious green juice


This greenleaf juice recipe is one of the recipes from my 5 day juice cleanse program. It has 4 different leafy greens and is one of my most nutrient dense juices recipes. Leafy greens are tremendously nutritious, but they don't yield a lot of juice so we add celery to help with the water content. We also add apples for sweetness and ginger for a bit of a zing. Feel free to add more or less of any of the ingredients to achieve your ideal flavour.


Prep


First thing you need to do is prepare your ingredients. Depending on the juicer you have, you might need to cut the ingredients into smaller pieces.


Leafy greens: Wash the kale, spinach, lettuce and parsley in cool water.


Celery: Cut the bottom of the head off, then rinse the stocks well. Celery can have a lot of dirt in the stalks so it's best to rinse and soak in diluted vinegar to get it really clean.


Apples: Wash and scrub with warm water then remove the stem and seeds. An apple slicer can come in really handy for this.


Ginger: Wash and scrub with warm water. You can peel the skin off if your heart so desires but not necessary.


Ingredients


3 kale leaves

1 handful spinach

1 cup romain lettuce

1 bunch parsley

1 cucumber

1 celery stalk

1 apple

1-inch piece of ginger

1 whole lemon skin peeled


Directions

  1. First juice the apples, then greens, then celery.

You can serve this juice over ice or chilled.
